Meridiana fly S.p.A. has adopted various tactics in order to guarantee customer transaction security. Security Software SSL (secure Socket Layer) is present on the Meridiana fly S.p.A. website server, and provides the highest standard for the protection of economic transactions. Handling of personal details

Meridiana fly S.p.A. treats all client data in accordance with Legislative law n196 30 June 2003, in respect to “Handling and protection of personal data” which in Italy was generated as a result of EU Regulations.

Legislative decree nr. 196/2003, Article nr.7 - access right to the personal data and other rights

  1. the interested party has the right to get the confirmation of the existence of his own personal data, even if not yet filed and registered, and their communication in intelligible form.
  2. the interested party has the right to get the indication
    1. of the origin of the personal data;
    2. of the finalities and way of the treatment;
    3. of the logic applied in case of treatment carried out by electronic tools;
    4. of the identification of the holder, of the persons responsible for the treatment and of the designate representative according to the article 5, paragraph 2;
    5. of the subjects or of the categories of subjects to which the personal data can be communicated or that can become acquainted of the data as designate representative in the territory of the State, of persons responsible or entrusted.
  3. the interested party has the right to get:
    1. the updating, the rectification or, if interested, the integration of the data;
    2. the cancellation, the transformation in anonymous form or the block of the data treated in violation of law, inclusive those which are not necessary for the purposes for which the data have been collected or afterwards treated;
    3. the attestation that the operations indicated at the letters a) and b) have been brought to knowledge, with their content as well, of those people to which the data have been communicated or diffused, excepted the case in which such fulfillment reveals impossible or it needs an employment of means disproportionate in comparison to the protected right.
  4. the interested party has the right to disagree, entirelly or partly:
    1. for legitimate reasons concerning the treatment of his/her personal data, even if relevant to the purpose of the collection of the data;
    2. with the treatment of personal data concerning him/her in order to receive advertising information or direct sale or for market researches or commercial communication.

Airline transport within Italy is subject to:

  • The Italian Aviation Rules and Regulations;
  • The rules and limitation as set up by regulations (CE) n.2027/97 and subsequent modifications of n.889/02 and 261/04;
  • The General Rules and Regulations of Domestic Transportation (passengers and baggage) available from any Meridiana fly S.p.A. airport and tickets office;
  • Carrier regulation and subsequent modifications n. 889/02 and n.261/04;
  • If a passengers journey involves an ultimate destination or stop in a country other than the country of departure, carriage is subject to the rules and limitations relating to liability established by the Regulation (CE) n.2027/97 and subsequent modification n. 889/02, and as far as not provided by such Regulation, by the Warsaw Convention unless such a carriage is not “International Carriage” as defined by the convention.
